Tweetalige publicatie: Arianne Olthaar (NL, 1970) portretteert en documenteert verdwijnende, verborgen en fictieve interieurs in film, fotografie en miniatuurmodellen. Haar werk is internationaal vertoond tijdens diverse tentoonstellingen en op filmfestivals waaronder International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, EMAF, New York Film Festival, Videoex, Media City Film Festival, IFFR, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin. Tussen 2008 en 2012 bezocht Olthaar een aantal voormalige staats- en luxehotels in Centraal- en Oost-Europa die in de jaren 1970 en 1980 zijn ontworpen. Ze fotografeerde de interieurs met een Voigtländer Bessa L analoge camera. Voor deze publicatie 'Dossier D.' schreef Arnon Grunberg op haar uitnodiging een verhaal dat zich in een van deze ruimtes had kunnen afspelen. Arnon Grunberg (NL, 1971) is een Nederlandse literaire schrijver van voornamelijk romans, verhalen, essays, reportages en columns. Visual artist Arianne Olthaar (NL, 1970) portrays and documents disappearing, hidden and fictional interiors in film, photography and miniature models. Her work has been shown internationally at several exhibitions and film festivals including International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, EMAF, New York Film Festival, Videoex, Media City Film Festival, IFFR, Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin. Between 2008 and 2012, Olthaar visited a number of former state and luxury hotels in Central and Eastern Europe designed in the 1970s and 1980s. She photographed the interiors with a Voigtländer Bessa L analogue camera. For this publication 'The File on D.', at her invitation, Dutch writer Arnon Grunberg wrote a story that could have been set in one of these spaces.
